Update On Myanmar And The Property

Just an additional note...many of you may already know that Myanmar (Burma) had it's elections last week and Aung Sung Suki party was the winner of most of the seats in the congress. This will bring great changes through out the country of Myanmar. This should help us move forward with our project in Myanmar. That means means sometime in the month of December we will begin building the wall that we have been planning for. We will need much more additional finances for the children's home and for the wall in this phase of the project. We want to thank you for those who have so faithful in giving for this project.

Building Leaders For God's Glory

We had a great four weeks as I finished teaching on the subjects of Healing and the Old Testament. My wife Elizabeth and brother in law Samuel did an awesome job translating for me during that time. We also take time on Monday mornings to minister on some leadership principles. Our goal here is to raise up a new generation of leaders filled with integrity and with God's Word. I have blessed with the ministers we have had teaching here at the Bible School. This we have Pastor Lorne Davis from Swift Current Saskatchewan teaching our students on the "Pathway To Success." We are certainly blessed to have him here as well as Dr. Al Purvis and the VABC students participating with our students. We also have Simon Crowe teaching our students over the next two weeks on "New Testament Survey." We are thankful for these ministers to take time and minister to our students. Next week I will be ministering at a leadership conference in Chaing Mai with Pastors Charlie and Cathy Milbrodt at Living Word Ministries as they will be packing the house (Facilities) with ministers from all over northern Thailand. Pastors Charlie and Cathy are doing an awesome work for the Lord! I consider this an honor to minister for Charlie and Cathy and to them as many will be some of my former students while I taught for Living Word Ministries. Believe with me to bring understanding and revelation to the hearts of these pastors.

The Start Of A New School Year

On the third week of September we started our Bible Training Center again here in Northern Thailand. All of our students come from Burma and most from the Shan State which is just on the other side of the Thai-Burma border. We have nine students and we have 5 people on staff along with my wonderful in-laws. We are fortunate to have Zami Shine (from Burma) as our worship leader as she is quite an experienced worship leader. We are also helping her upgrade some of her abilities on the keyboard and guitar. The first two weeks we started with Pastor Kris Pagan teaching on Spiritual Disciplines and this past week we have Becky Watson teaching the students on the subject of worship. Our classes will be going thru the 11th of December and then again will start on the third week of January 2016 for another 12 or 14 weeks. Believe with us to bring strength, understanding and revelation into the lives of the students. Burma is on the verge of some great changes and we are expecting our students to be life changers for their country.

First Term Students Finish Strong

On May 22nd we finished our first three month term with the students. What a great honor it was to minister and teach these students they were so hungry to learn. The during the last six weeks I taught on Faith and Prayer and Pastor Matt Watson from Sriracha Victory Church taught on the ministry gifts. Pastor Matt did a wonderful job teaching the students and we were so blessed to have him here with us. We also had a young man Ewing from VABC Bible College in Sriracha teach the students on music and was such a blessing as the students soaked up all that he taught them. The students were so blessed by all they had learned during the past twelve weeks and we look forward to seeing them again in the Fall of 2015. Near the closing of the school we gave Pastor Matt and my brother in-law Samuel the honor of baptizing a couple of the students. After that we had a picnic and a party at the park where we baptized the students. We want to thank all of you for helping us as we build Burmese leaders for tomorrow!

Seminar At The Bible School

On the weekend of April 17-20th we were honored to have Dr. Al Purvis VABC Thailand and Dr. Ron Denotter from St. Albert, Alberta Canada come and minister to the students and some local Pastors. They spoke on Leadership and humility and being a model to those around you. The students and Pastors were blessed to have Pastors with this type of experience come and speak into their lives and we as a family were certainly grateful for their fatherly input into our lives. The best way to describe this time of input is found in I Thessalonians 1:8 where it says, "...we were well pleased to impart to you not only the gospel of God, but also our own lives, because you had become dear to us." We appreciate you much! .

Friends From Canada

In early April we had the opportunity to host our good friends from Canada, Peter and Colleen Jackson. What a great time for us and the students. Peter and Colleen ministered to the students on the ministry of the Holy Spirit. God has used this couple powerfully in the market place ministry and we are so thankful that they would come and minister to our students. God moved powerfully on the lives of the students through this couple and students loved this couple! We certainly appreciated their giving hearts and some of the advice that they gave to our family. Peter and Colleen left an impact on the lives of the students and on our lives! Thank you so much! If there are any other couples that would like to come and visit please feel free to contact us.

Creating Disciples ...A Wonderful Opportunity

We are now almost finished with our first three months of training. What a great experience for our family. We have ten students and they have been very responsive to the things we have been teaching them. We have been instructed by the Apostle Paul in II Timothy 2:2 to "commit these (spiritual realities) to faithful men who will be able to teach others." The Gospel which is the good news is to be given away. There is no greater calling than to preach the Gospel and raise up disciples and we are grateful for the opportunity. Along with teaching the Bible the students have practical ministry (cleaning and taking care of our large yard and planting gardens). We also teach them music and English every afternoon. Our family has learned that in doing this, it takes time, energy, and money. I am so grateful to those who have been helping us in this endeavor as it would not be possible without our supporters in finances and prayer.
